Dr. Ron knows without a doubt the challenges of being a youth & growing up in a world with many influences. At the age of 7, he began learning to play the piano and by the age of 10 he was playing songs at his home church. By the age of 11 Dr. Ron attended an old fashion tent camp meeting in Oakland, CA where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

He continued playing for his home church while trying to establish a career in secular music, by playing with local groups. In 1961 Dr. Ron and his family moved to Los Angelas where he attended junior high school and where he was introduced to Marijuana. It was during this time in his life that he would never be the same. He was then known as “Ronnie Whittie”. For the next 16 years drugs, women and crime would be things that would dictate and control his life to the point where it almost cost him his life, when there was a contract sent out to kill him. But God in his mercy and grace saw fit to bring him out of that situation and into a wealthy place.

Since those days Dr. Ron has been blessed with a lovely , gracious wife, Dr. Gert Cooley, 9 children, 34 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He has shared the stage with such musical greats like The Winans, Bebe & Cece, Commissioned, Ron Kenoly and more. His former group, Ron Cooley and Deliverance, traveled from coast to coast, singing the praises of God and ministering the Word. He and his wife hosted their own TV show entitled, “Selah” and have also recorded 2 LP’s. “Ron Cooley and Deliverance Live’ and “One Way”. He has 6 projects to his credit for producing and engineering. Dr. Ron served for 20 years as Pastor of the Music Department at Revival Center Ministries under leadership of Apostle Ricky Nutt. He recorded and co-produced and album with Peter Michaels for Revival Center’s Choir entitled, “I Still Have My Joy.”

God has given Dr. Ron the vision and mandate as an Ambassador for unity to the Body of Christ. He has been given such as awesome task, because of his love for the people. Dr. Ron loves God’s people as God loves them and armed with love, he will carry out his assignment.

In the year 2009 God directed Dr. Ron Cooley and fellow Pastor and musician David Swaim to have their churches unite. Dr. Ron Cooley was Sr. Pastor at S.O.U.L.S. Minstries (Salvation Outreach Uniting Lost Souls) and Pastor David Swaim was the Senior Pastor at (R.P.W.C.) Restoration Praise & Worship Center). Both Pastor David Swaim and Dr. Ron Cooley shared a kinship and kindred spirit that spanned over 4 decades. Both men of God shared the same passion for Jesus, same stages leading worship, same pulpits preaching God’s Word and both grew up in Vallejo California in the same era. They both Pastor a church called Restoration of Souls Ministries in Vacaville , California and lead the church like the 1^st Christian church where the Apostles lead the church! Because of Dr. Ron Cooley’s ambition As a forerunner for the lord and his obedient heart R.O.S.M. has become known to be a powerhouse of Salvation, Deliverance and healing.
